TOWNSHIP TOURS

Namflava City Tours by EES in connection with Chameleon Safaris, started a project where we pledged to donate N$20 for each client that joined the Namflava Township tour toward sanitary towels to girls that can not afford this. In Namibia, this is a very big problem and girls have to stay out of school due to this.

The funds that we raised were used to purchase reusable, leakproof sanitary towels that can last each girl for 5 years. On 13th October 2023 together with the Powerpad Girls we were able to help all the girls in a school in the Dordabis area. Each one of them received their own box of reusable sanitary towels.

The sanitary situation for girls in Namibian townships remains a pressing concern. Many young girls in these areas face challenges in accessing proper menstrual hygiene resources, including sanitary pads and clean facilities.

Limited access to safe and private bathrooms in schools and homes can lead to discomfort and health risks during menstruation, potentially affecting their education and overall well-being. Efforts are underway to improve access to menstrual hygiene products and education to empower girls and ensure their basic sanitary needs are met, helping them lead healthier and more dignified lives.

These projects aim to give back to the community that these Township Tours drive through every day and take tourists from all over the world to experience Namibia.
