LION "PLAKKIES"

With the broadening of the Nam Flava Footwear range to the Sandals called "Plakkies" in Namibia. I decided to team up with the Namibian Lion Trust (www.namibianliontrust.org) and donate from each pair sold to the Trust and create awareness of the current human-wildlife conflict of the lions of northern Namibia.

The shoes were sold in leading supermarkets and retailers like PickNPay and Cymot for the release of the shoes. Each shoebox has the Rhino Trust Namibia logo in it and contains an additional flyer (as seen below) with the increasing rhino poaching crisis of southern Africa and the amount of N$ per shoe sold which is being donated to the Rhino Trust.

EES then invited 6 well known german influencers to visit one of the outposts of the Namibian Lion Trust at Hobatere Lodge and welt on a day trip to track the lions and visit the community to talk with them about the human/wildlife conflict they have and what they do to prevent this.

Support the awareness campaign and protection of the last lion in Namibia with a donation to the Nam Flava Charity Trust Fund or with a purchase of a pair of Nam Flava "Plakkies" shoes.
